Eight o'clock, showtime
In the US, network prime time runs from 8 to 11 PM on the East and West Coasts (7 to 10 in Central time), so 8 PM is when premieres, finales and the big games' pre-game shows land.
It's the classic curtain-up for concerts, plays and live comedy, and for many families with young children it's the end of the bedtime routine: bath, book, lights out.
