Frequently asked questions
How does everyone stay in sync without an account?
The link contains the room's start time and schedule. Every device works out the current round from its own clock, so everyone lands on the same phase — as long as their clocks are set automatically, which phones and computers do by default.
Can someone pause the room?
No, and that is the point: a shared room keeps going like a class timetable, so nobody holds everyone else up. If you need a pause, use the regular Pomodoro timer on your own.
Do my study rounds count in my stats?
Yes. A focus round you were present for counts as a Pomodoro on your stats page, and a round you joined part-way counts as partial focus. Stats stay on your device.
Can we schedule a session for later?
Choose “At a time” and pick when round 1 should start. Anyone who opens the link early sees a countdown to the start.
Does anyone see who is in the room?
No. There is no server keeping track of rooms, so nobody — including TimerHub — sees who joined. The room exists only in the link you share.
Studying alone? The Pomodoro timer can pause, skip and save partial rounds.
