The short version
TimerHub has no accounts and no ads, and never sells data. Your timer history, preferences and stats stay on your own device. The website uses cookieless, aggregate analytics and error monitoring. The mobile app collects nothing. If you buy the optional TimerHub Pro, our payment provider handles the purchase; TimerHub itself keeps no customer records.
On your device
Timer sessions, streaks and stats, sound settings and Pomodoro task labels are saved in your browser or the mobile app. The website also remembers your theme and any running or paused countdown, so reloading the page does not lose it. They stay on your device unless you choose to share a timer link, laps or history through your device's share sheet. You can clear history in your browser settings or with the app's Clear history control.
The website (timerhub.io)
- Analytics: cookieless and aggregate. We count page views and feature use (for example "timer started"). It does not identify you or track you across sites.
- Error reports: when something breaks, an error report is sent so we can fix it.
- Optional push alarms: if you allow notifications for a background alarm, we store what is needed to send it (a notification address for your browser, the alarm time and the timer's title) until it is delivered or cancelled, then delete it. No other timer data is kept on a server.
- Cookies: the site sets none of its own. Our payment provider's checkout and customer portal set their own cookies on their own sites.
TimerHub Pro purchases
- Our payment provider is the seller. It collects your name, email, billing country or address and payment details under its own privacy policy, and emails you your licence key.
- When you activate a key, our server receives your customer and licence identifiers, the product and its status, and your email. We do not store the email. We use this only to unlock Pro.
- We send the payment provider a label naming your browser and operating system, which you can see under Settings → TimerHub Pro.
- Your unlocked Pro status is saved in your browser. Remove it with "Deactivate this browser" or by clearing site data.
Pro widget and overlay links
Widget and overlay links you copy while Pro is on include your licence identifiers, but not your email. Anyone who sees the link can see them. When such a widget loads, it checks with our server that the link is still active. We keep a log of these checks for a limited time to spot misuse. "Reset all my links" in Settings turns all of them off.
The mobile app
The TimerHub mobile app works fully offline and collects no data: no analytics, no crash reports, no advertising identifiers and no network requests of its own. Background alarms are created on your device, and nothing is sent to a server. The only permission it may ask for is notifications, and every foreground timer still works if you say no.
Support emails
If you email hello@timerhub.io, support@timerhub.io or privacy@timerhub.io, an email delivery service processes your address, message and any attachments and passes them to our support inbox so we can reply. This happens only when you contact us; the mobile app never sends email or uploads your data.
