About the Focus Timer

The Focus Timer helps you track how much time you spend in focused work. Unlike countdown timers, this timer counts up so you can track your total focus time without pressure.

Pick a 25, 50 or 90 minute block. A gentle chime marks the end of it, and if you’re still in flow it keeps counting until you end the session — anything over a minute is saved to your streak and weekly chart. Prefer fixed cycles with breaks? Use the Pomodoro timer or the study timer.

Focus timer FAQ

How is a focus timer different from a countdown timer?
A focus timer counts up to track how long you have been working, while a countdown timer counts down from a set duration. Use the focus timer when you want to measure total focus time without time pressure.
Where is my focus data stored?
All sessions, streaks, and goals are stored locally in your browser on your own device. Nothing is uploaded to a server and no account is required.
How do focus streaks work?
A day counts toward your streak once you log at least 30 minutes of focused time. Hit your minimum each day to keep the streak going.
Can I set a daily focus goal?
Yes. Pick a daily goal in hours and the progress bar tracks how close you are. The weekly chart shows how each day compares to your target.
