Frequently Asked Questions
Does the uptime overlay need any OBS settings?
Only the defaults. Keep the browser source’s Page permissions at “Read access to OBS status information” or higher, which is the standard setting in OBS Studio 28 and later.
Why does my uptime overlay say Offline?
It counts while OBS is streaming. Between streams — and while you are only recording — it waits at 0:00:00 and shows Offline in your preview.
I use Streamlabs Desktop or Meld. Will it work?
Yes. Choose “When the source loads” and it counts from when the overlay loads, which with a scene you only open when live is close enough for most streams.
Can I hide the LIVE label?
Yes. Clear the title field and the pill shows just the dot and the time.
