About the 100 second timer

100 seconds is 1 minute and 40 seconds: long enough to feel, short enough to finish. It's how long it takes to count to 100 at a number a second, a stiff plank for most people, and a tight limit for a lightning pitch or a quick explainer. Press Start and the digits count down from 1:40, with the clock time it will finish shown underneath.

A 100 second timer (1 minute 40 seconds) for plank challenges, 100-second pitches and hide-and-seek counts. Shows its finish time; alarm at zero.

TimerHub calculates remaining time from an absolute finish timestamp, so missed browser callbacks do not create drift. Read the timing accuracy methodology and reproducible tests.

100 second timer FAQ

How long is 100 seconds?
1 minute and 40 seconds, or about 1.67 minutes. The timer starts at 1:40 and counts down to zero, with the clock time it will end shown before you start.
How many words can I say in 100 seconds?
At a relaxed speaking pace of 130 to 160 words a minute, about 220 to 270 words. Read your script aloud against the timer once or twice and trim until you finish with a few seconds to spare.
Is a 100 second plank good?
For most people, yes: it's a solid hold. If you can't reach it yet, build up in steps — hold for as long as your form stays good, rest, and go again. The 60 second and 90 second timers make good stepping stones.
Can I use it for hide-and-seek?
Yes. Counting to 100 at a number a second takes about 100 seconds, so press Start instead of counting and let the alarm tell everyone the search has begun. Fullscreen shows the hiders how long they have left from across the room.
Will it keep counting if I switch apps?
Yes. It runs to an absolute end time, so it stays exact in a background tab and the alarm sounds at zero. Turn on notifications under More for an alert while you're in another tab.
