Embed an interactive countdown in Google Sites, Wix, Squarespace or WordPress. Pick a style, copy the right format and give each visitor a timer of their own.

Google Sites
Choose Insert → Embed → By URL, then paste your timer link. Resize the block so Start and Reset are visible. Publish and try it as a visitor. Reading sprints, independent work and cleanup timers fit naturally beside activity instructions.

In the Wix Editor, choose Add Elements → Embed Code → Embed HTML. Paste the code from the builder. Adjust the element’s height and width, and check both desktop and mobile views on the published site.

Add a Code block, select HTML, and turn off Display Source before pasting. Iframes require Core, Plus, Advanced or an eligible legacy Business/Commerce plan. Embedded content may behave differently while editing; test the published page while signed out.

Use a Custom HTML block. WordPress.com requires a paid plan with hosting features activated to allow iframe code. Self-hosted WordPress has different rules: your user permissions, plugins and security settings must allow the iframe. If code is removed on save, check those settings with your site administrator.
Official WordPress instructions ↗These widgets count down a duration after a visitor presses Start. They are not shared event deadlines or synchronized classroom clocks. For one timer everyone can follow, project the facilitator’s screen. Sound needs a click inside the widget and can be restricted by the host browser.
Platform features and site settings can affect embeds. Check Start, Pause, Reset and the layout on your published page. If embedding is unavailable on your plan, add a normal link to the timer instead.
