45 Minute Timer with Music

A 45 minute countdown with an ambient bed that fades out at zero.

Forty-five minutes with music is the most-searched version of this whole family, and for good reason: it is a school period, a therapy hour, and the length most revision guides settle on. The coffee-shop bed suits it — present enough to fill a silent room, quiet enough to read over.

Distant murmur and occasional cup clinks. Plays while the countdown runs and fades out at zero, so the alarm is never buried.

About the 45 Minute Timer with Music

Free 45 minute timer with background music and ambient sound. Starts with cafe, runs without ads or buffering, and fades the sound out when the alarm rings.

TimerHub calculates remaining time from an absolute finish timestamp, so missed browser callbacks do not create drift. Read the timing accuracy methodology and reproducible tests.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the music come from — is it a YouTube video?

Neither. Every background sound is generated live in your browser with the Web Audio API. Nothing streams, nothing buffers, there are no ads or mid-roll breaks, and the sound never loops back on itself because it is never the same two seconds running.

Does the sound stop when the timer finishes?

Yes. The background bed fades out over about four seconds as the alarm sounds, so you always hear the end of the countdown. Pausing the timer fades the sound out too, and resuming brings it back.

Can I use the background sound without the visual backdrop?

Yes. The backdrop is a separate toggle in the background sound panel. Turn it off for a plain black screen, or leave it on and switch to fullscreen for a full-screen rain window, starfield, or ember drift behind the countdown.

Will it keep playing if I switch tabs?

The countdown keeps running from an absolute finish time, so it stays accurate in a background tab. Browsers may throttle audio in hidden tabs, so keep the tab visible — or in a Picture-in-Picture float — if you want unbroken sound.
