Extras

At zero: show the message instead of 00:00Off keeps the classic ending: the message replaces the title and 00:00 stays, as in overlays made before this option.
Confetti at zeroA burst in your colours the moment it finishes.
Show buttons on the overlayPause, restart and ±1 minute buttons. Viewers see them too, so most streamers use hotkeys instead.
Add it to OBS Studio, step by step
  1. In your scene, click + under Sources and choose Browser.
  2. Paste the link. Set the width to 1920 and the height to 1080.
  3. Leave the custom CSS as it is; transparency just works. Click OK and drag it into place.
Streamlabs, Meld, Twitch Studio and others

Any app with a browser or web source works the same way: add a Browser Source (Streamlabs Desktop), a Web source (Meld, Twitch Studio) or a Web Browser input (vMix), paste the link and use the size above. OBS-only extras — scene restarts, uptime from Start Streaming and remote commands — fall back gracefully elsewhere.

Control it live

Right-click the source → Interact, click the timer, then:

  • Space pause / resume
  • R restart
  • ↑ or + add a minute
  • ↓ or − take a minute off
  • Hold Shift for five minutes at a time.
Remote control: Streamer.bot, Stream Deck, subs and donations

OBS 28+ can pass commands to the overlay over obs-websocket. Send a CallVendorRequest with this request data (in Streamer.bot: the OBS Raw sub-action, run from a sub, cheer or donation trigger):

action can be add, remove or set (with seconds or minutes), pause, resume, toggle or restart. Leave out id to control every TimerHub overlay at once.

66 looks, one link

Ambient (TimerHub’s own scenes: Dusk, Aurora, Lo-fi room, Marigold, City lights), Modern (Clean, Glass, Gold, Cyberpunk, Holo HUD), Retro (LED, split-flap, Nixie tubes, dot matrix, pixel Arcade, handheld LCD, VHS, a bevelled desktop), Showtime (Neon, theatre Marquee, rolling Jackpot reels, Comic), Chill (Lo-fi, Sakura, Ocean, Cosmos, Campfire), Seasonal, Game night and IRL. Transparent over your game, or a full scene.

Knows what OBS is doing

Restarts a break countdown when its scene goes live, counts uptime from the moment you press Start Streaming, and keeps a subathon’s finish time through reloads, crashes and restarts.

Driven by your community

Add time from the keyboard, a Stream Deck or Streamer.bot on every sub, cheer or donation, with a “+5:00” that floats up on screen so chat sees their impact.

66 overlay themes, all free

Ambient, Modern, Retro, Showtime, Chill, Seasonal, Game night and IRL. Ambient is new: TimerHub’s own scenes, transparent and still, with the horizon as the progress line.

Stream overlays FAQ

Are these stream overlays really free?
Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no TimerHub branding on your stream. The overlay is a web page OBS draws as a browser source, and everything it needs is in the link you copy.
Which streaming apps do they work with?
Anything with a browser source: OBS Studio, Streamlabs Desktop, Meld, Twitch Studio, vMix and XSplit. The OBS-specific extras — restarting when a scene goes live, uptime from Start Streaming and remote commands over obs-websocket — need OBS Studio 28 or later; elsewhere the overlay falls back to counting from when the source loads.
Will an animated overlay slow my stream down?
The overlays are small pages that animate with CSS, which OBS’s built-in browser handles comfortably on most streaming PCs. If your machine is already at its limit, choose a transparent background with a still theme such as Clean, Glass or LED.
Can I run several timers at once?
Yes. Every browser source runs on its own, so you can have an uptime pill in one corner and a BRB countdown on another scene. Give each one its own overlay ID if you save state or send remote commands.
Are the Game night themes official game overlays?
No. Raid, Heist, Arena, Tactical, Storm and Matchday take their mood from the genres people are streaming most this month — fantasy MMOs, open-world crime, MOBAs, tactical shooters, battle royales and football — with original artwork. They use no game’s name, logo or typeface and are not affiliated with any game or publisher.
Do my viewers need to install anything?
No. The overlay is part of your video, so it appears on Twitch, YouTube, Kick or anywhere else you stream, on every device.
What does Streamer Pro add?
Streamer Pro is part of TimerHub Pro, an optional one-time licence with no account. It adds your own logo on the overlay in every layout, the Studio Pro collection of 8 themes (Broadcast lower thirds, Editorial, a matte Studio console and slow Drift ribbons), 6 curated fonts served by TimerHub, and as many saved overlays as you like. Everything else stays free: all 66 themes, custom colours, remote control, confetti and three saved overlays. No overlay ever carries a watermark, and if a licence is refunded, its Pro overlays quietly show their free look.

Overlays load in OBS’s Browser Source. Test your scene before going live. Timing a talk or a lesson instead? Make a timer video or embed a timer on a website.
