How to use the sequence timer

  1. Add stepsPress Edit steps and give each a name and a duration (25m, 90s, 1h30m or 1:30 all work), or tap a ready-made sequence — a circuit, Tabata, HIIT, a Pomodoro day — and it starts at once.
  2. Let it runAn alarm sounds as each step ends and the next begins. Work steps flood the screen warm, rests and breaks turn it cool. N jumps ahead early, Space pauses, R goes back to the first step.
  3. Share itCopy link shares the exact chain — anyone who opens it can run it, no app or account needed.

About the sequence timer

Line up named steps, press Start once, and the whole chain runs itself: an alarm sounds as each step ends and the next begins automatically. Ready-made presets cover a Pomodoro workday, a gym circuit, classroom station rotations, and a meeting agenda — edit any of them or build your own, then share the exact chain with a link.

Free sequence timer that chains named steps with an alarm between each. Build a Pomodoro day, gym circuit, classroom rotation or meeting agenda, run it hands-free, and share it with a link.

TimerHub calculates remaining time from an absolute finish timestamp, so missed browser callbacks do not create drift. Read the timing accuracy methodology and reproducible tests.

Sequence timer FAQ

What is a sequence timer?
A sequence timer runs several named steps back to back. Instead of starting a new countdown after every task, you chain them once — warm-up, work, rest, cool-down — and an alarm announces each step as the next one starts.
How is this different from an interval timer?
An interval timer repeats one work/rest pair for a set number of rounds. A sequence timer runs any list of differently-named, differently-timed steps once through, so it also covers agendas, lesson stages, and recipes.
Can I share my sequence with someone else?
Yes. Copy link puts the whole chain in the URL — names, order, and durations. Anyone who opens it sees your exact sequence, ready to run, with no account or app.
Will the alarms still sound if I switch tabs?
The countdown keeps true time from absolute finish stamps, so switching tabs or a throttled browser never shifts the schedule. Alarms play while the page stays open — for an alert after you close the tab, set a single timer page instead, which can send a push notification.
